Aosta/Pila Skiing Trip.
The Aosta Valley, North West Italy, is located on the sunny side of the Mont Blanc Tunnel,
and only 10/11 hours overland from Calais. It is a natural environment of breathtaking beauty,
steeped in history and tradition.
| Pila has a bewitching natural landscape with a magnificent view sweeping the Alps, from Mont Blanc to Monte Rosa. There are 70 kms of perfectly maintained pistes, modern ski facilities (including an efficient gondala with extraordinary view of the nearby mountain ranges as well as excellent ski & boot hire) and a tempting mix of tree-lined runs and vast, wide, open spaces.
|
For beginners, the Grimod bowl is a
confidence-building paradise – a natural
teaching ground, with wide open spaces and picturesque views, allowing an anxiety free environment to learn in.
Not challenging enough? Intermediates should try
the Liesse run which is superb! Wide open
and containing terrain which ranges from gentle
to steep it can't fail to put a smile on your face.
Advanced? We challenge you to face the Wall!
Before leaving for the slopes of Italy, Parkside pupils are given the chance to become more familiar with skiing with day trips to the dry sky slope at Telford. This small introduction allows the pupils to gain the basic knowledge needed and build confidence in their skiing ability, ultimately leading to a far more enjoyable experience on the mountain.
