Key Stage 2 Creative Curriculum.

 

The 21st Century is a fast moving place. With the evolution of our society and the rapid growth of new technologies, the young learners of today face new challenges on a global platform. As teachers, our aim is to prepare students so they can be successful in the modern-day world and workplace.

 

From September, Friday afternoons will be the platform for our innovative and exciting Creative Curriculum.

 

We aim to provide our pupils wilth opportunities to study:

 

  • Identity and Cultural Diversity

  • Healthy Lifestyles

  • Enterprise

  • Global Dimension and Sustainabilty

  • Technology and the Media

  • Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning

 

The focus for these lessons will be the development of personal learning and thinking skills.We strive to enable our pupils to become:

 

  • Independent enquirers

  • Creative and critical thinkers

  • Reflective learners

  • Team workers

  • Self-managers

  • Effective participants

 

Every pupil will participate in five, six week modules. These are:

 

  • The Great Outdoors

  • Right Here! Right Now!

  • Who Do You Think We Are?

  • Money Matters

  • Learning to Learn
