At Parkside Middle pupils follow a timetable that allows them access to specialist teachers and facilities.
In year 5 we ensure that there is a smooth transition between first schools and ourselves, with regular meetings between staff and units of work completed over summer/autumn in both English and Mathematics.
In year 6 pupils are well prepared for their end of Key Stage 2 tests.
English and Mathematics are taught in sets whilst other subjects are taught in mixed ability groups.
Pupils with particular learning difficulties are supported in normal lessons by specialist staff and are sometimes withdrawn from lessons in small groups.
