Art, at Parkside, gives the pupils the opportunity to express

Pupils explore the world around them and
communicate their ideas by investigating lines, shapes,
colours, patterns, textures and form through a
variety of materials and technologies.
 | In year 5 pupils learn about African Art and Craft, Semi Abstract Art and investigate patterns and shapes around us. They make masks, explore printing techniques and different methods of drawing. In year 6 pupils find out different art and design styles. They design and make clay plates and tiles. Pupils explore sculpture and the natural environment. Their knowledge of different skills allow pupils to create three dimentional wire art and manipulate a variety of materials and methods on selected theme projects. |
